Dutch Windmill at Leiden Polderpark, Golden Hour

A whitewashed tower mill in Leiden Polderpark, caught from below at golden hour with the sail arms cutting diagonally across a deep blue summer sky. The low angle is the decision — it turns familiar Dutch heritage architecture into a graphic structure, all converging lines and sharp geometry. The mill stands in active use as a neighbourhood landmark, a sports field audible just behind the hedgerow. Structure this old carries its own authority; the frame just has to get out of the way.
