Warm brick and a pointed arch, face-on at golden hour. The tower fills the frame from herringbone forecourt to sky — the gothic arch functioning less as threshold than as geometry, its carved tympanum pulling the eye before the wooden doors do. Leiden's Lammenschans church entrance holds that tension between ornament and mass: the relief invites close reading while the tower itself simply dominates.
