Dutch Windmill Silhouette Under Full Moon, Hoofddorp

A full moon hangs low over Hoofddorp, its disc bright enough to wash the deep blue from the sky and reduce the windmill to a clean silhouette. The four sails read as pure shape against the light — structural, deliberate, unmistakably Dutch. Clear air sharpens every edge: the latticed sails, the lamp post, the hedgerow pressing in from below. The moon illuminates without warming, and the windmill stands exactly as it always has — indifferent to what kind of light it's caught in.
