Dutch Church Spire in Hoofddorp Against Deep Blue Sky

A red-brick clock tower in Hoofddorp rises from street level to a sharp slate spire, framed low against an unbroken summer sky. The warm tone of the brick and the saturated blue behind it do the compositional work — geometry and colour holding each other in place. Shot upward from the base of the tower, the frame cuts away everything but structure and sky, leaving the spire's silhouette to carry the full weight of the image.
