Boathouse on the Braassemermeer at Golden Hour
13 May 2025 · Roelofarendsveen
A timber-clad boathouse sits at the edge of the Braassemermeer, its curved dark roof arching against a deep summer-blue sky. Reed beds press close on the right; a wooden jetty stretches out over the water toward open sailing lanes. The building is present, but the lake, the reeds, and the wide sky are doing the heavier work — architecture settled into landscape rather than imposed on it. Shot at golden hour, when the warm light finds the timber and holds it.
