The tower of the Dutch Reformed church in Katwijk aan Zee, shot from directly below at a steep upward angle. From this worm's-eye position the white rendered masonry compresses into a sharp wedge, its narrow arrow-slit windows cutting vertical lines up the face. The deep blue sky does nothing but hold the structure — no cloud, no horizon, no context — and that absence is what gives the tower its full graphic weight. Plain geometry, maximum presence.
