The barrel-vaulted glass canopy at Amsterdam Centraal frames the city beyond it — IJ waterfront, skyline, and blue spring sky held inside a steel arch. Below, the tram loop curves back on itself, its rails tracing the same geometry the roof already claims. Two curves, one structure: the architecture completes its own argument. This is urban transit infrastructure at its most considered, where the engineering is also the composition.
