Viewed from below, the barrel-vault glass canopy at Amsterdam Centraal resolves into a grid of steel ribs that fan outward and converge at the open arch. The structure does two things at once — it encloses the coach terminal beneath it and frames the IJ waterfront skyline beyond, turning infrastructure into a deliberate compositional device. Summer light presses through the glazed panels, throwing the steel grid into sharp relief against a clear blue sky.
