Pixelated Facade at Amsterdam Science Park

Amsterdam Science Park's building exterior treats its own cladding as a canvas. The facade panels carry a dithered, pixelated graphic — dark aluminium dots scaling up and down across the surface — while horizontal louvre blinds run the full length of the ground storey, layering solar shading over glass. Shot under a clear summer sky, the composition angles along the building's edge so both systems are visible at once: the image-making surface above, the functional screen below. The building isn't decorated. The surface is the design.
