Dutch Windmill Silhouette Against Summer Sky, Amstel Park

Four latticed sails cut across a deep blue sky above Amstel Park, the mill body in near-silhouette against the cloud mass behind it. The low angle flattens the structure into geometry — each sail a dark grid, the cap a dome, the whole thing pressed flat against the blue. A Dutch molen built for function; the radial symmetry is incidental, and insistent. The flag at the hub is the only detail that places it firmly in the present.
