A still pond in Leiderdorp holds two images at once — the weeping willow and spring canopy overhead, and the open sky below, both suspended between the lily pads. The water does the compositional work: it flattens depth, layers green against pale blue, and turns a quiet Dutch park into something that earns a second look. The warm afternoon light catches the fresh foliage at the top of the frame, pulling the colour down into the reflection beneath.
