Stepped Massing Tower, The Hague Postmodern Architecture

1 May 2025 · The Hague

Four materials, four eras, one building. This mixed-use tower in The Hague stacks a red brick podium against a copper-trimmed setback, a glazed mid-section, and a metal mansard crown — the whole architectural timeline compressed into a single frame. Shot from street level looking straight up, the building fills the frame against a clear deep-blue summer sky, geometry holding the eye from base to peak. Postmodern architecture at its most literal: each layer announces its own logic, and the composition makes that tension legible.
