A low-angle shot of a classical Dutch facade in The Hague compresses the ornamental entablature into a single dominant horizontal — the decorative frieze running the full width of the frame, brick below, clear sky above. The sash windows repeat in a strict grid across two storeys, their white stone dressings pulling the eye upward toward the cornice. Monochrome deepens the tonal separation: the pale entablature holds its weight against darkened brick, and the sky goes flat and absolute behind it.
