Gabion Wall and Curved Canopy, The Hague
1 May 2025 · The Hague
A gabion wall of wire-caged aggregate sits at the base of a steel column, holding its own against the sweeping concrete soffit curving overhead. The geometric rhythm of the canopy panels — shadow-deep on the left, bleached by golden-hour light on the right — pulls the eye around the bend. Raw material against engineered form: the architecture makes the argument without a word.
