Sunken Highway Through The Hague Business District

Two lanes curve into the underpass, concrete walls narrowing to a point before the tunnel swallows the road whole. Above, glass office towers fill the frame — Regus, Buren, the Q tower rising to the left — indifferent to the infrastructure carved beneath them. The leading lines do the heavy work here: lane markings and tunnel walls pull the eye down and forward, infrastructure as pure geometry. The road descends; the city carries on overhead.
