A canal in The Hague on a clear spring morning, the water holding still enough to mirror a glass curtain-wall tower almost perfectly. The reflection doubles the vertical geometry — modern architecture above, its inversion below, with tree-lined quays and moored barges framing both. The canal works here as a compositional device: the city laid out twice, once in steel and glass, once in water.
