Low-angle worm's-eye view of a Dutch Gothic Revival brick church in The Hague, showing stepped buttresses and tracery windows climbing diagonally, with a summer tree canopy in the upper right corner against a clear blue sky.

Gothic Church Buttresses, The Hague — Worm's-Eye View

1 May 2025 · The Hague

A low-angle shot from street level turns the buttress rhythm of this Dutch Gothic Revival church in The Hague into a diagonal stack of brick and shadow. The stepped gables and tracery windows climb the frame while a summer tree canopy breaks across the upper right — organic and structural, pulling against each other in the same rectangle. The warm red-brown of the brick holds its own against the clear blue sky, making the geometry read as graphic as it does historical.
