Rond de Grote Kerk — Church Facade in The Hague

1 May 2025 · The Hague

Four material layers compressed into one flat facade: dark brick, iron cross bracket, leaded windows, and deep-red painted doors. The street sign for Rond de Grote Kerk sits above a gothic arch lintel as if it always belonged there — part civic marker, part architectural ornament. Monochrome strips the colour hierarchy and lets brick texture and typographic geometry carry equal weight. What reads as a busy wall in colour resolves, in black and white, into something precise and still.
