Industrial Chimney with Spiral Banding, Leiden

A brick chimney stack rises from a white-clad factory building against a deep blue Dutch sky. The helical safety banding winds the full height of the stack, turning a functional industrial element into a graphic spiral that dominates the frame. White metal cladding below keeps the geometry clean — flat panels against the cylinder, orthogonal lines against the curve. The low angle compresses the two structures into a single composition where the chimney has clearly won.
