Double Cherry Blossom Canopy at Dusk, Leiderdorp

Prunus Kanzan at peak bloom, photographed from below at dusk in Leiderdorp. The double-petalled clusters mass into a dense canopy — each rosette layered tight against the next, pale pink at the centre deepening to dusty rose at the edges. Gaps of grey-blue sky hold the whole thing in place. Spring blossom that earns its brief window by showing up at full intensity and nowhere else.
