Dutch Tower Mill at Low Angle, Leiden

Shot from directly below, the mill compresses into a single graphic column — dark tapered body, white sail arms, deep blue sky. The low-angle framing does what a standard eye-level view of a Dutch windmill cannot: it strips the subject to pure geometry and forces the sails to compete with the clouds for scale. Tree canopies flank the mill on both sides, grounding the upward thrust and giving the composition a natural frame it didn't need to earn.
