Arnhem's main shopping street draws a clean line toward the horizon, the Gothic tower of the Eusebiuskerk rising at the vanishing point like a natural full stop. Crown flags line both sides of the brick corridor; the sky above splits between blue and cloud. The street does the compositional work — geometry first, ornament second.
