The kit lens that came in the box with the D3500. Light, plastic, modest aperture, and the lens that shot most of what's on this site before any of the others arrived.
A kit lens earns its name honestly — it's the cheapest lens that ships with the camera, and the spec sheet shows it. f/3.5-5.6 is slow, the build is plastic, the rendering is unremarkable. None of that turned out to matter much. The 18-55mm range covers most of what a body-around-the-neck day actually needs, the autofocus is quick, and the VR works. What the lens doesn't do is encourage you to overthink the lens.
That's the case for it. Kit lenses get dismissed as starter glass on the way to better glass, but they keep showing up in the actual frames. This one still does.
